Mechanical Technician (R&D)

Creare has a full-time opportunity for a qualified Mechanical Technician to support a diversity of technical engineering projects. Laboratory-based, the focus of this position is to assemble and fabricate hardware, test facilities, and prototypes (including design); provide experimental test set-up, operation, and shake-down; document all project activities with software tools and lab notebooks. Demonstrated design and fabrication skills, depth of knowledge in engineering fundamentals, scientific instrumentation, and facility with CAD/DAQ tools are necessary. AS or BS in Engineering Technology (or Science) and several years of related work experience (R&D preferred) are required. Creativity and the ability to effectively team with others and learn quickly define the successful Technician.
