Internship Opportunities

Interested in pursuing R&D as an engineering career? Interns who spend a summer or a school term working at Creare invariably find themselves answering with a resounding, YES! Although we do not offer a formal co-op program, we support one or more interns each year. Creare interns experience the same project diversity and challenge that is available to all Creare employees, and they have an opportunity to apply their engineering knowledge while learning very creative yet practical methods and best practices from a highly trained and experienced staff. Most Creare engineers have pursued their own graduate work and offer a wealth of knowledge and advice for interns who are considering advanced degrees. Intern assignments have included experimental design and set-up, including fabrication, testing, data analysis, modeling, presentation of data/findings, literature reviews, and more. A former intern said it well, “Most satisfying was seeing how my work was part of a larger creative effort involving very talented people. If you want a hands-on experience in Engineering R&D, Creare can provide it!” Applications for internship are accepted at any time of year.
