Creare Engineers showcased our Blast Overpressure Protection Helmet to potential customers at the Blast & Conflict Injury Conference 2026 at Centre for Injury Studies, Imperial College London. Creare’s Blast Overpressure Protection Helmet protects the brain from blast waves by reducing peak overpressure significantly more than modern combat helmets. Blast overpressure is generated by firing modern weapon systems, and repeated exposure, particularly during training exercises, can lead to traumatic brain injury. The helmet derives from Creare’s Flight Deck Head and Hearing Protection Helmet, which is now in full rate production for the US Navy and currently protecting aircraft maintainers and ship’s company on aircraft carrier flight decks.
