Creare has been awarded a contract from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to develop a Wireless Open Water Logger (WOWL) to improve the productivity of fisheries and aquaculture.  WOWL helps commercial fishermen improve their catch by measuring and logging water temperature with a rugged sensor package that attaches to their fishing gear.  Data are geo-tagged by the user’s smartphone and uploaded to a cloud-based, publicly-accessible data repository.
